Peer Recovery Support

At White Horse Recovery, our Peer Recovery Support Services are designed to meet you where you are—whether you’re just starting to consider recovery, actively working on your goals, or looking for ongoing connection. Our peer recovery workers have lived experience and are here to offer understanding, encouragement, and practical help as you define your own recovery journey.

We honor multiple paths to recovery and believe you are the expert in your own life. All peer services are free of charge and available to anyone, regardless of insurance or ability to pay.

Services

Peer Recovery Coaching

Our recovery support workers will meet you where you are. We help you work through your basic life needs in early recovery from substance use disorder, as well as your plans and goals to build recovery capital along your journey.

Schedule: Walk-in or appointments available

Cost: No cost to the participant. NH Medicaid accepted, but services are free to all regardless of insurance or ability to pay.

Duration: As long as you need or would like to engage

When to Consider: When you are ready to set goals for your recovery journey and talk through your progress with a Peer Recovery Support worker.

These Services Include:

Developing and checking in on a recovery plan
Help with goals and basic life needs
Assistance with applications and paperwork
Referrals to other treatment options and community supports

Telephone & Brief Check-Ins

Our telephone supports or in-person brief check-ins help you stay engaged in your recovery journey, whether you are no longer participating in daily activities, want an extra weekly check-in, or are unable to attend center activities in person.

Schedule: Walk-in or appointments available

Cost: No cost to the participant. NH Medicaid accepted, but services are free to all regardless of insurance or ability to pay.

When to Consider: When you want to maintain a connection with our team, or you’d like additional check-ins during your week when you need a little extra support.

These Services Include:

Assessment of basic needs
Assistance with applications and paperwork
Referrals to other treatment options and community supports

Recovery Community Supports

Our Recovery Community Centers are places for connection and support. We offer mutual support groups, meetings, activities, and events that engage the whole community. Collaborate with peers and find your place in recovery.

Cost: Free to all participants

When to Consider: When you are looking to make progress in your recovery alongside others who are doing the same.

These Services Include:

SMART Recovery, All Recovery, NA, AA
Wellness groups and activities
Support groups for depression, anger, etc.
Parenting groups, movies, games, dog walking, and more.

Drop-In Services

We are open for drop-ins at our four recovery centers during business hours. Come in for coffee, WiFi, a chat with a coach, application help, supplies, shower, and laundry.

Cost: Free to all participants

When to Consider: If you are considering recovery for the first time, starting recovery, or need a safe, judgment-free place to talk through your concerns and address basic life needs like warmth and hygiene. We offer referrals to higher levels of care as needed, and our recovery staff can help you navigate those options.
